It's a Damned Sad Life

Go here, and read all the comments, if you want to experience the saddest, most miserably pathetic and pitiful bunch of creepy no-life haters in existence.

Straight up. Those guys up there are actually worse than these guys. I mean, the latter are merely mocking me in an utterly infantile and emotionally retarded way, and god knows that's understandable. But the former bunch are mocking the finest movie ever made, for no apparent reason except, y'know, they are so brain damaged that they actually think it's cool to do it.

They remind me of those emo kids on South Park.

I thought Scott's review was hysterical. He obviously adores the movie, you couldn't do a riff like that if you didn't.

The parody itself made me laugh in places, too. And I was primarily talking about the bunch of sad ass, sniveling suck ups in the comment threads who, lacking any sense of irony themselves, clustered in a mad asskissing mob to jump on what they thought was a bandwagon.

Having said that, second comment down is this:

By the time I got to Zuzu and her damn petals, I was running out of liquor, so I started hitting the Fast Forward button a bit. (DAMN, you people are hard to please!)

This doesn't do anything to foster any impression of furtive love and/or respect for the film, much less, in your word, 'obvious' adoration. Especially coupled with the fact that in the drunken faux-sophisticated snarkfest that follows, Scott never says a single other damn word.

Here's what would have communicated to me that he 'obviously adores' the movie: "Hey, but in all seriousness, I love this movie!"

Something like that.

But, you know, I'm a simple man.

Fucking with Capra is bad enough. Fucking with IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE? At Christmas? Not in my town.
